Professional background:

With a background working in nonprofit management, AJ has a strong understanding of the nonprofit sector. She understands how those aspects fit into the larger picture, not just from a grants or funding perspective. AJ also has a background in writing and producing for theatre and film, which gives AJ an intimate understanding of the unique needs of arts organizations and artists in particular. She brings her creativity and love for storytelling to everything she does from grantwriting to strategy development. 

What she loves about her work:

AJ loves finding the aspects of each client’s project or overall mission that really shine and make an impact, determining the best way to represent that work, and identifying the best-fit funders to support their work. She is especially dedicated to supporting social justice-focused and/or BIPOC-led organizations/programs. 

Outside of Coastal Nonprofit:

AJ loves bouldering, hiking, writing and watching TV shows and films, producing podcasts, and playing video games  

She also writes grant and fellowship applications for herself and was even successfully accepted into a prestigious writer’s program from one of her submissions.
